Video shows apparent iPhone 6 in operation

There’s been no shortage of Apple hardware leaks going back the past few months now, and the question’s been less one of “when are we going to start seeing some iPhone 6 stuff” and more one of “just which of these many, many leaks is the real deal?” But as we close in on next week’s anticipated launch date, we’ve found the chaff separating from wheat, and a clearer image of the phone’s hardware emerging. This weekend we move beyond component shots and dummy models, and even fully-assembled handsets, to seeing one captured in operation on video.
It’s just a short clip, but it does appear to show the iPhone 6 waking from sleep and unlocking. The leak arrives alongside some still shots, one of which is getting attention for revealing a new icon for Apple’s Passbook app, one that may reflect new support for mobile payments – a development that would fit nicely with all we’ve been hearing lately about NFC support.
Unfortunately, the video’s not embeddable here (but those of you not scared off by a little Chinese can check it out through the source link below), but with September 9 so close at this point, it won’t be long at all before we have some footage of the new iPhone that isn’t just much more accessible, but also 100% confirmed. At least, that should satisfy us until we start obsessing about iPhone 7 rumors, but that probably won’t start happening until October, at the soonest.
