Lenovo Vibe Shot revealed as leaked “Vibe Z3 Pro” from earlier this month

Back at the start of February we took a look at an unreleased Lenovo handset. The leaked pics revealed a metal-encased phone with a camera featuring an unusual triple-LED flash. At the time, the best guess for what this hardware might be identified it as a possible Vibe Z3 Pro, and we looked forward to learning more about it at MWC. While that expo’s still over a week away, today we manage to get to the bottom of this phone’s story, as it’s revealed not to be the Vibe Z3 Pro at all, but a device called the Vibe Shot.
If that name has you thinking that camera performance was a priority here, you’re right on the money: the phone gets a physical shutter button, 16MP sensor with optical stabilization, and a tri-color flash.
Unfortunately, specs could be a little bit lower than previously rumored – instead of a Snapdragon 810, the phone may run a Snapdragon 615. Thankfully, the rest of the hardware details are somewhat beefier, like 3GB of RAM, and 32GB storage (with microSD expansion). Look for a five-inch 1080p display, LTE connectivity, and the presence of Android Lollipop.
Even with the cat out of the bag, were still eager to check this guy out at MWC next month, and hopefully bring you some hands-on footage.
